Eloping in Italy 101: 03 What
Eloping is about love of course but do not forget some little things that will transform your elopement in an epic experience.
Eloping in Italy set a budget.
Eloping is not about a low budget wedding, is about love intimacy and building a strong emotional and visual legacy for your future life.
So when you start to plan your elopement in Italy it’s better to set a nice budget and think about what you really need to live an unforgettable day.
Eloping in Italy the story behind your love.
Then to start to clarify the story behind your love, the story that your wedding photographer will tell with his pictures for you. DO you want to write your wows to exchange your promise with Venice in your background? or in a stunning villa in the Tuscany hills?
Eloping in Italy choose your location.
The most important thing to choose is the location. Do you want to hire an entire Villa in Lake Como, a chalet in the Alps, a palace in Venice? Or something different, very different? As an editorial, architectural and commercial photographer, I worked with a lot of stunning agencies specialized in finding the right location for advertising. Drop me a line and I will find for you something unique and special. Please specify your budget.
Do you want a hotel suite with a view on the Duomo cathedral in Milan? A private house in Piazza di Spagna in Rome? An entire palace in Venice? an Island in Lake Maggiore or Lake Como? or something intimate and small with a more accessible budget? A private little home with a view on the new Milano? A design apartment in Venice?
Eloping in Italy: Dresses
What about your wedding dresses? Shoes? Are you going to have an elope in Venice and you will wear a mask? Or a country chic elope in Hill of Tuscany? All as to fit with your dream and your story.
Do you really want those white and red men shoes by Ferragamo or a Jimmy Choo sandal?
Eloping in Italy: hair and makeup
It’s your dream day… Why not pretend to be a princess… Relax, take it easy and let someone help you to be at your best.
Investing in a professional makeup artist and hairstylist it’s a beautiful idea, you will look stunning in the pictures.
Eloping in Italy: flowers and bouquet
Wait you do not have to break the bank for your bouquet, but why not?
Flowers are nice and can be used to tell your wedding story with pictures.
Sizes and colors are the main topics when you design your wedding bouquet… If you plan to take pictures in a city and you have to walk think small and light.
Eloping in Italy: transportation
Transportation is a great and expensive choice. If you are eloping in Lake Como or Venice hire a taxi boat or a gondola is a way to escape from crowded places and to have breathtaking pictures with unforgettable scenery in the background like Villa del Balbianello, Ponte del Rialto or San Marco Square.
It’s a little investment but a great eloping experience.
Eloping in Italy: civil legal ceremony, church or symbolic
If you want to have a legal wedding in Italy be prepared to fill some paper works. I strongly recommend hiring a wedding planner or to prefer a symbolic ceremony. In Italy, you can find really great celebrant that can add something more to your eloping experience. Also, a church ceremony with a blessing should be considered.
Eloping in Italy: bride and groom portrait shooting
This is the most important part of the day. Keep in mind that your wedding photographer knows the most beautiful locations, and the best hours of the day to take pictures there.
Eloping in Italy: do I need a wedding planner
The truth is simple: if you can afford a wedding planner hire her or him. Wedding Planners can help with your budget constraints and legal contracts, they will fight for your wedding vision and keep everything on track
Most important of all Planners can keep things stress-free!!!!
Eloping in Italy: the photographer
This is the last thing but of course the most important. You will keep forever your wild eloping memories with you in your pictures. Hire a photographer that cares about you. Someone emotional and emphatic and a great storyteller. Print your pictures! Create an album! Do not leave the work of your elopement photographer inside a hard disk.
